Christ on a Bike was a popular novelty household item produced by Ronco in the late 70s and early 80s, along with it’s sister product, the Pope-O-Scope. Powered by 4 x AA size batteries, Christ on a Bike would propel itself around your living room, reciting parables, and whistling He Who Would Valiant Be, much to the amusement and delight of your guests.

Such was the popularity of Christ on a Bike, that it gave rise to a number of spin off products, such as Christ on a Dirtbike, Christ on a Harley Davison, and Messiah in a Van. The idea gave rise to the popular 80s BBC TV series, Hey Look, That’s Jesus, and eventually became the inspiration behind the film, Jesus Bus.
