For those with more Christian tastes, the so-called experts at Wikipedia have an article about Estonia.

The country was discovered by Sir Estonia XCIII in around 1290, so perhaps this is one of the reasons it is called 'Estonia'. Shortly after its foundation, a war broke out between the indigenous 'Pokemon' people, and the 'Digimons' from the Jetix region to the east. This war was, for some reason, dubbed "the Hot War". Thousands of Digimon were taken as prisoners of war in high-tech detention centres referred to as 'Pokeballs'. After years of staged fighting, Sir Estonia brought peace to the region after he performed an emotional rendition of the 1980s hit "Take My Breath Away" on some bagpipes. This was extraordinary in itself, considering the song wasn't written until hundreds of years later.

Estonia spent most of the twentieth century being repeatedly invaded, firstly by the USSR, then by Nazi Germany, and then by the USSR again. Too easy, bro.

Today, Estonia is doing just fine, thank you very much.
