For those with more Christian tastes, the so-called experts at Wikipedia have an article about Karen Carpenter.

Karen Carpenter was the famous world sub-strawweight singing champion from 1970s to 1980s. She was the unchallenged champion because almost all other female singers ( so called "Fat Ladies" ) at that time belonged to the super-heavyweight class.

Karen was one of the founding members of The Carpenters. Karen is slightly smaller than the carpenter ant and is a stub. She was credited with the phrase "you can never be too rich or too thin".

Karen gave up her singing career on February 4, 1983 to promote a hunger strike against the price rise of beer and pizza. That was the end of her days being a pop musician ( she was actually shrunken! ). After that incident, she's still too dead to sing even until today.
